I can honestly say that the project this time was a little bit boring. It was interesting to watch the happy faces of people to whom we came and helped, it was frustrating though that, unfortunately but not all with the same joy said good-byes to us.

I wanted to be fully used in the project, I wanted to be an example to the guys, with whom I worked (from Christian perspective), but because everyone in my team was a believer, my potential (if I had it) stayed with me.

I did not give away anything, what then did I take for myself? It was fun, pleasant to do something that brings joy and benefit to others. I hope we were the worthy example of what the God’s servant should be like.

What will change if I take part in this project?

Good question! The question divides into two parts in my mind: what will change in the project and what will change in me, if I participate in it.

I think if I took part in this project from its first and to the last stage, I would be priceless with the experience I would accumulate: I could foresee the result of events, I could advise the better way of doing things, how to make everything funny, instructive, but, unfortunately, my inner ardour was only enough for the very first project. It is difficult to say why; on the one hand routine problems, on the other – laziness, I could think of many excuses at the moment, but I do not want to waste my 400 words. The main problem was that I did not hear the call. When I heard my friends and acquaintances’ reaction after the projects, their enthusiastic emotions and laughter, when they stamped their feet and clapped their hands in delight, it all made me smile. Automatically the question arises, should the reaction of a Christian be anything like that? The answer is evident – of course, not. When sitting at home, absorbed by solving the urgent problems, the one is not the light that is seen by many, the one is not truly salty source, and I really want if to have a fire then a real torch, if to have a source then the Niagara Falls, but I will be honest, it makes me smile! I hope and I will ask God about it so that the ardour He gave me with birth would last for long.

So what brought me to the project this year? The desire to find the answer to this question that you asked encouraged me to participate in it. What will change? Every time when we make the decision to take part in some camp or outreach event, we ask ourselves if we are good enough, to be a part of it, if we can change somebody’s life for the better. The only thing I can say is that I will try to make all the efforts, that were put in the project Mission Impossible, effective, and God will be able to work through me among the young people who will attend MiDim, and I also hope, that I will be changed during this project, I will be changed for the better. I really want my fire to burn again, although sometimes it does not, and I want it to burn constantly.

To summarize, let us go back to the questions that were asked at the beginning and tell the following. What will change? 1. I will be changed (I will hope for that), of course I cannot say exactly how I will be changed, but faith without deeds is dead, and this will be an excellent opportunity to fulfill the deed, that God left us in His commandment. 2. Young people partaking in the project will change, I will apply all my knowledge and skills, to be a wonderful sower!

With best wishes!

Dima
